Some doodles of Masato Hijirikawa from my fav anime of all time - Uta no Prince sama! ❤️
This anime gonna be with me for rest of my life for sure, I love this guys too much, and I feel like I need to draw more of them in the future! So I started with my favorite Mom of STARISH Mamasato 💙💙
Still crying because of sudden SL ENG shutdown, but I’m never gonna let go of these boys, they’ve been with me for like almost 8 years now T-T
Can you believe that this was born because I needed to locate Marin and Seiya’s house in my head?
To begin with, as you can see, the area of Rodorio is very mountainous and from the beginning it was clear to me that it had to be that way.
There are also many ruins scattered in different places although they may not be well distinguished.
1.- Rodorio
The village of Rodorio is named after Pegasus Rodorio who was born there. Originally the village worshipped Poseidon and there are still several temples in the area that are well maintained and cared for by the villagers, but temples were also built for Athena and Nike.
The Saints have the duty to protect the village and its people as stipulated in the contract signed in blood by the goddess Athena and Ophiuturus Laomedeia. The contract also stipulates that Athena and her Saints could settle on the other side of the river.
2.- Bellerophon’s Cape
Located on the other side of the river, this cape was named after Sagittarius’s Bellerophon.
Bellerophon was born in the village of Rodorio and was the best childhood friend of Pegasus Rodorio, he was chosen by surprise by the Cloth of Sagittarius. Bellerophon was known to be very clumsy, on several occasions he almost fell into the sea from this place. It is very popular among young people in love.
3.- Cape Sounion
Cape of difficult access on which stands a temple of Poseidon, at the base of the cape there is a prison where those who committed the worst crimes were locked up.(I know that Cape Sounion should be further away but the truth is that I don’t care about it and I say it’s like that in my head.)
4.- House of Marin and Seiya
Marin built this house with the help of her master, it is located on the outside of the Sanctuary and not many people go there, which allows a lot of privacy.
5.- Coliseum
It was built during the times when Greece was part of the Roman Empire, it is used for various events such as tests for saints or group trainings.
It is a socialising point for the inhabitants of the Sanctuary.
6.- The 12 houses
Home of the 12 Gold Saints.
There is a legend that tells of the existence of a 13th house.
It is impossible to climb the Sanctuary without passing through the 12 houses due to the protective cosmos of Athena.
7.- Noctua’s Refuge
The original name is Hesperis’ Refuge.
It is the place where the Saints and Soldiers of the army of Athena live, it was named after the constellation of Owl which does not have a Cloth within the army.
There are numerous owl statues in the surroundings as well as those of a mysterious woman.
8.- Star Hill
A high mountain separate from the Sanctuary, the sky above this mountain is always clear and is used by the Patriarch to read the future in the stars.
Only the Patriarch and Athena are allowed to climb.
9.- Patriarch’s House
The place where Athena, the Patriarch and the Saintias live, it is the administrative centre of the Sanctuary and is protected by numerous defences including the 12 houses.
10.- Laomedeia’s River
River that marks the border between Rodorio and the Sanctuary. It was named after Ophiotaurus Laomedeia.
Ophiotaurus Laomedeia was a member of Poseidon’s army who was under the orders of Amphitrite. After Poseidon was sealed, her goddess Amphitrite decided to fall into a deep sleep voluntarily so that the Sanctuary of Poseidon was flooded.
Laomedeia returned accompanied by her friend Amphisbena Alcander, carrying the Scale of Pegasus with her to the unnamed village where she was born in the last months of her pregnancy.
Shortly afterwards she gave birth to her son Rodorio who was the grandson of Poseidon and son of Pegasus (yes the winged horse, this is Greek mythology, these things happen).
Laomedeia trained her son Rodorio and his best friend Bellerophon in the use of the cosmos. Due to her mastery of the cosmos and her strength she became the leader and protector of the people. 14 years after the birth of Rodorio, she allowed the goddess Athena and her army to settle on the other side of the river as long as they fulfilled certain obligations. After the defeat of Hades, she named the village after her son.
